LA FUNDACIÓN COMPARTE VIDA A.C., Established February 23th, 1998 in Mexico City, is a Non-profit Organization.

Mission
To fight leukemia and other hematological and geneticall disorders in support of those patients whose only hope of life is a bone marrow transplant.
 
Vision
To strengthen the Mexican Unrelated Bone Marrow Donors Registry "DONORMO", and the Altruist Umbilical Cord Stem Cells Bank "BACECU" to at least 100,000 donators and 20,000 Umbilical Cord Stem Cells, especially from hard access location donators and local ethnical population. Both efforts for patients whose only opportunity to live is a Bone Marrow transplant and doesn't have an intra familiar donator available.
 
Philosophy
Giving the opportunity of life to the largest number of patients possible, among them many children and youngsters suffering from these diseases. The main goal is to provide them with an optimal quality of life on a long term basis.

Objectives

  • To implement a donor like culture through a variety of campaigns, continuous diffusion, and education. This will show the population the importance of being a potential donor backing up the thousands of patients who require a bone marrow transplant.
  • To strengthen the Mexican Unrelated Bone Marrow Donors Registry DONORMO, and stimulate growth and development of the Altruist Umbilical Cord Stem Cells Bank, BACECU. Both programs (PROCEP) take place with the authorization given by the qualified health organizations.
  • Supporting scientific basic and clinical research and preparing specialized human resources of the different specialties surrounding bone marrow transplantation.
  • To establish every type of national and international relationship with other foundations as well as organizations, organisms, nets, businesses, scientific and educational institutions, both government and private, oriented to fulfill and reach the program goals of the Association.
  • To offer medical treatment to the greatest possible number of patients, with the best technology and offer surveillance and clinic care in a a continuous way.
  • To contribute along with the Secretary of Health to reach the goals of this scientific field.
